While the color of shamrocks and Ireland were everywhere in Tampa, it was the green color of money that seemed to be flowing. With St. Patricks Day 2007 on a Saturday, the day started early for all the Irish. (Of course, we are all Irish on St. Pat's Day.) Most bars opened early and featured a large breakfast in the Irish tradition. Guinness was flowing as well as everything else. The near 70 degree sunshine filled day encourage the celebration with traditional Irish dancers, bagpipes, and lots more. Bands of every genre were playing to packed houses and most staff were exhausted by the end of the day. Over 250 kegs of Guinness were wiped out in SOHO alone. The Rough Riders Night Parade in Ybor drew a large crowd of bead seekers and the beads were plentiful. While it started early, it didn't stop early. Long lines were in evidence at most locations until well after midnight. As the number one partying day of the year, St. Pat's Day 2007 looked like it broke all records in Tampa. We have hundreds of pictures posted as our leprechans were out in force seeking the gold at the end of the rainbow all across Tampa.
