The Tampa Bay Derby Darlins had another great contest between the Black Widows and the Vicegrip Vixens at United Skate on North Armenia. This exciting and fun match features all female skaters shoving, pushing, and skating in order to score points as two teams of five players participate in three 20 minute periods of play.
Players included Eve A Twin, Mysterious, Ann T. Social, Joan of Ache, Katie Karnage, Wanda Whoop Ass, Dee Bauchery and lots more of equal humor.
While the pushing and shoving gets the attention - these are really very good skaters. The women may get all the attention, but the fast skating referees deserve a lot of credit for keeping up with scoring and the players actions.
In between periods, the band Car Bomb Drivers pounded away to get the very diverse audience more charged up for some serious play. This fun event attracted over 300 spectators of every age group.
