Getting ready for an almost 500 mile bicycle ride
takes some planning and preparation. Seeing middle
America is a lot of fun. Tampa Marketing Company
President Bill Sharpe is getting ready to ride with
over 10,000 other riders - and one will be Tour de
France winner Lance Armstrong.
The ride starts on the west side of the state and
ends at the Mississippi River on the east. Lots of
hills, corn fields, and more.

Staring at computers all day and attending events by
night has become my habit for the past two years.
Taking a break and physically pushing myself on a
serious bike ride while enjoying the outdoors for a
week is going to be great. I will miss you all, but
what a super change. Will have to have a liter
at the Dubliner with Blue Collar Whiskey tonight just
to get ready.
But fear not, we will keep you informed for the next

Armory Plans Will Change West Tampa
With proposals ranging in costs of $100- to almost
$200 million, the plans for the renovation or
demolition of the Ft. Homer Hesterly Armory will
significantly impact West Tampa. THIS PROJECT
COULD BE BIGGER THAN THE CHANNELSIDE RETAIL
COMPLEX. The Committee is due to meet again
on July 26 and could make a selection at
that time. Their suggestions then must go to the
City Council for approval or rejection.
We have provided a location to vote for your
preferred choice. Over 1,000 visited the page in
the last week, but very, very few voted. We asked
around to find out and - duh - we geeks
forgot to tell you that you have to register first.
Registering is free and will not subject you to any
emails. Registering allows us to not have one person
vote excessively on an issue and allows us to remove
objectionable postings. You will then be eligible to
post job listings, items for sale, and other stuff on
our bulletin board.
