may be left behind.

like it will be saved under the most recent proposals.

The deadline for submitting proposals for the Fort
Homer Hesterly Armory has now passed. Watch
for
this important block to have a whole new look on the
way. But don't hold your breath, it will take a long
time for the proposals to be sorted through and for
construction on anything to begin.
We GOOFED last week ! Mr. Robinson
caught it right away. We got the year wrong for
Tampa being a contender for the Republican National
Convention. (We said 1998, should have been 2008)
BUT the point wasn't missed by Susan
Thurston with the St. Pete Times who later in the

Frisky Friday is a fundraising event to benefit the
Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival
with free food, DJ, dancing, and cash bar. 10$ cover.
The St. Pete Pride Fest takes place this
Saturday with a
Promenade at 10 am and the Street Festival from 11
AM. While we usually stay towards Tampa events,
over 35,000 attended last years event.

The British film, Kinky Boots follows the life of mild-
mannered Charlie who suddenly inherits his family's
shoe factory. Business is in decline and all seems
hopeless - until a chance encounter introduces him
to Lola, a sassy drag queen and cabaret star, who
convinces him that there's a more niche market out
there.
Admission is free for Balcony Club members and just
$10 for non-members and guests. Members receive 2
complimentary drinks and a cash bar is available to
all. A gift bag featuring the exclusive Balcony Club t-
shirt and discounts at various local establishments
will be available to members that join or renew the
night of the event.
When: Wednesday, June 21, from 6 PM.
